Cooking gathering

Friday nite after the tiring and boring indowater exhibition, went to Plaza Senayan to watch the Shrek 3 with Inda and Gagam. Then moved to Blok M for some supper, met Wawan. There had roasted banana and siomay.

Saturday did my grocery as I thought I didnt have enough money ( paycheck to paycheck worker :-)), so it would be better to just to stay at home and cook snacks and dinner for housemates.

Sunday afternoon began with cooking. We were making risoles with the recipe given by Ella, and then the creamy sweet corn and chicken wings.
first only Dian who helped me (a lot hehe) and then later Inda and Qnoy joined us. Gagam was also helping us with one risoles and then went to bed heheheh.

Mona joined us during the diner. Baron who came late didnt get any risoles because it all finished. poor Baron.

We promised to have another cooking gathering on July 7.

Ella's risoles recipe:
dough:
flour, eggs, milk, peper, salt, butter, scrambled eggs

for the inside part:
cheese, smoked beef, mayonaise, salt, peper, scrambled eggs

Craemy sweet corn:
sweet corns, milk, butter, salt, peper. mix all ingredients together and then fry it.

Its very easy especially when you have dear friends

June weekend

Photo collections of my weekends. beginning June went to Plangi with colleagues after cocktail gathering at the Embassy. Met anne's friends there.

Second weekend went to PIM with my little niece and nephew, opik and ima. Ima just had examen at school and waiting for the national examen, so, I thought it would be great if she can relax for a while. took them to the mall, had wendys and dim sum. We went back home late ( for them hehehe). Glad the mother wasnt angry at me hihihi.

Sunday went to Dian's birthday. I can't remember when was my last birthday party. It was like 10 years ago. Here in Indonesia people dont make a birthday part. Only kids. We do take friends to a restaurant or movie but not a party.

Candi Gedong Songo

Second day in Semarang we visited the complex of Candi Gedong Songo (temple of 9 buildings). We got Pak Dwi as our temple expert. Pak Dwi is an archeologist at the university in Malang. His knowledge about all those temples is unbelievable. He knows the details of each temple. Why are most temples located on the mountain area, the different between hindu temple and budhis temple, the different between temples in east java and temples in central java. Siva temple, Wishnu temple, brahmana temple. Everything. Just to explain about one temple and its relief, he needed more than 45 minutes. Can you imagine the time we had to spend for 9 temples in that area? But the group was only able to reach until the 4th temple. Ella irev and I could actually still until the 9th temple. but unfortunately the rest of the group could not stand it, so we stopped at no. 4 (with mo i would have reached all those temples hihihi-yeah right fida, u were always complaining when walking to a castle heheheh).

experience the ancient train. going back to the past. Ambarawa trip

went the second day to Ambarawara station. Tht was the day that Ella, Irev and I have been waiting for. It was our main and only reason to join the trip.

The name of Ambarawa station was Station WIllem I. It used to be the building for Nederlandsh Indisch Spoorweg Maatschappij.

I was excited as I saw the old train. the legendary train :-)). We were acting like school children as we walked in the train.

The train has two wagons. The walls of the wagons were made from wood. The chairs were also from wood. no windows so the passengers can feel the breeze of the air and enjoy the landscape.

We stopped first for Jambu station where the locomotif has to be moved to the back of the wagons since the road was hilly. So, the locomotif had to push the wagons instead of pulling them.

the landscape, the scenery during the jouney from Jambu station to the Bedono station were amazing. All green with the background of mount Ungaran and mount Merbabu. Nothing could compare to that. Just enjoy the pictures and say that you envy me :-)).
