Marriot hotel- kampung style

Dian had a free voucher to stay for one night at Marriot hotel, governor suite. never had a governor suite. so, the first time we did was jumping around and taking dorky pictures hehehe. the result was these.... enjoy and smile.....

Manado..oo..Manado I'll be back for sure

I should have visited Manado long time ago when my nephew still studied there but didn't have the time and didn't have enough money.
This year, finally I made it to Manado. I wasn't planning to go to Manado as the it was still not cheap for me but I decided to go since the workload just went crazy. I really needed some days off.

went there with Sahabat Museum group. took the earliest flight, 5 am in the morning. woke up at 2.30 am. It was sooo difficult to wake up on that time. and had breakfast also at 3 am...sigh....

After landed at Sam Ratulangi airport, we went straight away to Bunaken. checked in at Santika beach resort. The view from Santika is soo beautiful. trees, coconut trees, and beautiful blue greenish water. amazing.

It took half an hour from the Santika resort to Bunaken. First we had to rent some googles and fins. Almost everybody from the group asked for life vest. I thought, hey why do we need a life vest, if we are tired, just stamp your foot to the ground. Easy. That's what I did at Sepa island.
We got on a boat again to the Bunaken sea garden. Everybody prepared to jump in the water. And then came my turn. One...two...three... splash. Shooot..... it was deeper that I thought.... yeaaaah fida. u are on your own now hihihihi.

It was like a dream comes true to be able to snorkel or to just swim at Bunaken sea garden. Too bad I didn't have a waterproof camera to capture all the beautiful fishes there. Too bad also that we only had very limited time.

Anyway had a great time there, got some new friends, got an unforgettable text from someone. would never forget anything that happened in Manado.

One thing for sure, I will be back!!!!!.

Dutch queen's day in Jakarta

what an effort to get to the venue. hard rain, traffic jam, get on the ojeg but it all worthwhile. had a good time there. great dutch food, chit chat with old friends, walking around with Melcher looking for gays.

the venue was not so nice because it's too formal. I like gedung arsip better but I can understand the reason.
The food is better then Aryaduta catering. I love the original Dutch french fries. it was soooo good. love the poffertjes. though poffertjes in Rotterdam are so much better :-). Love the sausages. I also ate the non halal frikandels by accident heheheh. lekker...

I didn't like the Indonesian buffet menu. Indonesian food and hotels are sooo not matching. Indonesian food should be eaten on street with dust and wind :-). That is the authentic Indonesian food :-))). Nice heheheheh
